Our goal is to develop beautiful, show-bred English Setters that can hunt like they were bred to do ... and consistently win in the show ring in Canada and the United States.
As a self-appointed custodian of the English Setter breed; I care about the health, conformation, and temperament of every member of the breed, and will always try to improve on all of those aspects in every breeding. Through knowledge of the history of the breed and analysis of pedigrees we can truly help determine where the breed is going.
All Artworks English Setters are health checked for hearing, hips, elbows, and thryoid and their individual health clearances can be seen on each dog's page and verified on the OFA website. All of our dogs are from totally BAER clear litters with OFA (hips & elbows) clear parents.

All stud dogs are OFA clear of hip & elbow dysplasia and are BAER clear for normal hearing. All dogs have their thyroid checked and ideally, are clear of the autoimmune thryoditis antibody (TgAA). All of our dogs have CHIC (Canine Health Information Certificate) numbers identifying them as having had all of the breed-required health clearance tests and those results are displayed in the OFA open database. The same clearances are expected of bitches to be bred to them.
I rarely have puppies available but if you are interested in meeting adults of the breed or need some help to locate a puppy, my door (and inbox!) are always open ... and there will always be an English Setter there to greet you!
